I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. After graduating from high school, I attended and graduated from Peirce Business College in Philadelphia. My further education includes coursework at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs and the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, as well as graduating from the John Robert Powers Finishing School in Washington, D.C.
I grew up attending Second Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, where I accepted Christ at nine years old. During my time there, I served as a musician for the youth and men’s choirs, a junior usher, and a Sunday School teacher.
In 1964, I married my husband while he was serving in the Air Force. We were blessed to live in Paris, France, for two years, where our daughter was born, followed by two years in Stuttgart, Germany. In Germany, I served as a Deaconess and worked with the youth at a local Baptist church. Upon returning to the United States, we both worked at the Pentagon; I also held a position at the Selective Service Headquarters in D.C. While living there, I belonged to Mt. Zion Baptist Church under Pastor Oswald G. Smith, where the Lord allowed me to organize and lead the youth choir.
My husband’s final assignment brought us to Colorado Springs, where he retired. During those years, I worked as a Secretary and Program Assistant at Compassion International, which provided me the opportunity to visit international projects doing Christian child development in the Dominican Republic and Bangkok, Thailand, and here in the United States.
Following my daughter’s college graduation, we moved from Colorado Springs to Houston, Texas, where I worked for the City of Houston and she in the insurance industry in Denver.
After my daughter's marriage, I returned to New Jersey and retired to assist in caring for my mother, joined Faith Deliverance Worship Center, here in Burlington, NJ to continue serving my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
